Do you have to deal with any internet filters at work or school? Are they strict?

School, yes. And they are ridiculously strict. Even some educational sites get blocked by the filter.

Yes, they are too strict. That's why I own a slice of a server and a domain name and run my own little proxy that's very useful for stuff like.... Oh, bypassing said filters?

They're not that bad at collage. They'll let you one Youtube but not social networking sites.

At one place I worked they would block everything except what THEY felt was work related.

Yeah the filters at my work suck! But Off Topix is not blocked so thats all I care about.

I didn't visit forums during the school day so I don't know what all was and wasn't blocked. I did visit my favorite backstreet boys forum as a guest and surprisingly enough that wasn't blocked. I only played on game sites anyways, so I never did fully test what was blocked and what wasn't.

At school, big time yes. It's hard to access informational pages. Off Topix has never worked for me. Even our teachers have filters. However, they're not near as strict.

I don't believe they work too well though, everyone's constantly on Facebook, etc.

Yeah, they're pretty strict, but I have found ways around them, for example my old website:
