My 1st forum was on Xsorbit forum from the early 2000's , Proboards and Invision free

I have no idea what those are above, but I remember it was just one place in a forum and you posted and then your post would just scroll down just like posting on a live chat in YouTube. I miss that style so much because it was a free for all on all topics and you really had to be dedicated to stay in the chat.
I remember SMF, never really cared for that one personally.
I know it because it was used a lot on forums in Spanish (From Spain and Latin America). Mostly because it was free
I used to be on a few SMF forums back in the day, the software was usable but just not my fav.
I know... compared to vB in that time. It sucked.
This year SMF released a major version and now it's responsive, have alerts build-in. It's better... still worse. But it's free hah
