Just got the call this morning. Apparently having a big mouth sometimes comes in handy. During the mock accident, I forgot I was having an interview. I kicked in to Paramedic mode and starting telling the interviewers ( two of them ) what they needed to be doing to help me. They actually laughed but did what I asked. After the interview and I went home, I cringed that I did that.
That happened to be the deciding factor to welcome me to the flight team.
My first day in the air will be this Monday.

Best part of all of this is I'm working 4 days, 10 hours per day. Those days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
No more unsure part-time hours and being on call on my days off. I can actually now have a social life!

That is great news!
I still have other businesses to run but having 3 days off, is not going to have any negative effect. Before, I could never count on my days off as they changed all the time. Plus they were short staffed and I had to carry a pager on my days off. Never failed that that pager went off. That's why I could never commit to my friends for a night out. Now I can!
Just realized I can't get away from working the Fourth of July every year. This year it falls on a Wednesday

Weirdest thing was I was supposed to be on vacation for two weeks the end of this month and returning July 7th. Those plans fell through because I just couldn't afford it. I was very upset and then all of a sudden I got my dream job. Guess that saying things happen for a reason is true.
