Another state's doing the right thing by its' people..

I thought it was already legal there *shrug*

Good stuff in any case (though should have been done years ago).

But we can do it with more freedoms and lower taxes then California.

But back to the story I will just mention once again any of them could have gotten married at anytime privately with the same protections as a married couple under government recognition Today or Tuesday. This is just government recognized marriage for the monetary benefits government provides. Which I am 100% against because of the expansion of government not the gay life style.

Neat. I don't agree with your assessment of the situation. :P

liberty has this crazy theory that everyone that gets married legally and officially are after government assistance and free money when clearly that's not the case... just because someone gets legally married doesn't mean that the government will then start throwing free money at them...

Let the debate go on for several pages and accomplish nothing!

Not sure where you get billionaire? But it is a expansion of tax payers benefits going to more people.

I cant wait to see the courts starting to deal with divorces and who gets what. Which one gets alimony. Who gets the adopted child. Interesting times!

Not really when combined with all the new people marrying get benefits and then the courts eventually dealing with divorces it will cost the people billions.

And gay marriages will account for a small fraction of that.  There's like 99% more straight married couples out there. :P

In about 5 years when most marriages end or survive the long haul we will find out.
