Fmr. GA Lt. Governor To Support Biden in 2024 Election

(The Guardian) The former lieutenant governor of Georgia, Republican Geoff Duncan, will support Joe Biden in the November presidential election. “Unlike Trump, I’ve belonged to the GOP my entire life,” Duncan writes in an op-ed for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “This November, I am voting for a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass.”

Earlier this year Duncan ruled out an independent presidential run under the No Label’s banner.

In the piece, he wrote that he is disappointed that the majority of his fellow Republicans have chosen to fall in line behind Trump, including some of his “fiercest detractors”. He expands on his concerns about Biden and the Democrats’ agenda, but says Trump has “disqualified himself through his conduct and his character.” He cited the former president’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election, his role in the January 6th assault on the US Capitol as well as his handling of the pandemic and his “incendiary” response to moments of national turmoil. “Trump has shown us who he is,” Duncan writes. “We should believe him. To think he is going to change at the age of 77 is beyond improbable.”

The fact remains that this guy has been throwing around shade and putting out red flags for quite some time.

Let me put it this way; we have a man who praises god, tries to combine Christianity along with dictator idealology with how he behaves, talks like he's insane, he makes off the wall allegations and purposely tells lies, tries to sell religion to get votes, and isn't afraid to sic his follower base on you should you get in his way. Trump has enough influence that his cult followers would storm a capital or another government property with him outright telling them to. He knew they'd do it, so he just worded it differently. He's manipulative. If a president like him has enough influence to turn the nation against itself, then who does that remind you of?

He isn't a good person nor even a good leader but he is no different from Biden or Bush or any political elite. If you believe he is worse than what's in DC(and has been for decades) then you have been fooled. Besides Biden has been more of a dictator then Trump ever was, and his followers are just as bad as the hardcore Trumpets.

I would prefer we keep it civil than stoop to name calling or gas lighting when it comes to these kinds of discussions. Since you have chosen to do that, I don't think it wise of me to indulge you any further in this discussion.
