The Telegraph are reporting that Leicester have informed staff they will not be paid their December wages before Christmas. The club have insisted there is no financial issue at play here, rather an “unfortunate alignment of payroll dates” apparently.
The situation risks a backlash from supporters, many of whom are unhappy with the current ownership. The Foxes are currently eighth in the Championship having endured a mixed season after relegation from the top flight in May.
