Post up random facts about food.

I'll start:

• The most expensive pizza in the world costs $12,000 dollars.
• One fast-food burger can have meat from 100 different cows.
• White chocolate isn’t chocolate.
• McDonald’s sells 2.5 billion hamburgers every year.
• French fries originated in Belgium, not France!
• Potatoes are 80% water.

Kids give apples to teachers because from the 17th century teachers salaries were so low that they couldn't afford food, so kids parents would donate apples, an inexpensive crop, to allow them to eat

• Applesauce was the first food eaten in space.
• Pistachios aren't nuts—they are actually fruits.
• Broccoli contains more protein than steak!
• Raspberries are a member of the rose family.
• Potatoes were the first food planted in space.

• Peaches and nectarines are essentially the same fruit.
• McDonald's fries were cooked in beef fat until 1990.
• Glass gem corn exists.
• Fruit salad trees exist too.
• German chocolate cake didn't originate in Germany.

Alot of people wouldn't know that. I knew most of that except the rasberry one but it makes sense.
