A local supermarket I shop at has just issued a recall on hamburger meat sold from their store. They said any meat sold between April 2nd and April 12th should not be eaten...

The question to myself is.. Did I go shopping on the 1st or 2nd?

Ive cooked up some of the meat and had no stomach problems. Must have bought it on the 1st.

Have you ever eaten spoiled or tainted food on accident before?

Hope you stay feeling well Nebulous. Only time I had food poisoning was when I went out with my mates and we bought a curry and all five us were sick for two days, the place is shut down now.

Ive never had food poisoning before. I bet its unpleasant.

I've eaten mouldy chocolate buttons before without knowing, but never gotten sick. They still tasted the same

I had food poisoning once and let me tell you it's not a good thing! I went to a picnic and ate several things so I'm not sure what I ate that caused it. Several other people that went also got it too.

Did you complain to the company? They would of given you some sort of compensation

I wonder if people can sue the supermarket if they get sick..

I think it would depend on why they recalled the meat. If it was the supermarkets fault for not storing the meat at proper temp. then maybe. If the supermarket got a call from the company that distributes the meat and told supermarket to put up a recall notice then no.

Do you know why it was recalled?
