You said there is a soccer team at your school.

Indeed. However, unless I want to drive 35 minutes to the closest soccer field, which is at a local university, I'm out of luck. We have a football field which they sometimes convert it to a soccer field, but that's rare. Plus, you'd have to be really good to get onto the team. As far as going to a soccer field and playing for fun or to get better, not happening. They do have goals at the school that they can somewhat make it into a practice field, but that's only for our school team. Also, when I say school team, it's our team, but it includes all the high schools in our division, so it's more than one school participating in the same sport. It's that way because the soccer team would only be a few people if they didn't have a few players here and there from each school, and even still, it's not that big.

Trust me, it's not even close to being popular enough to have an actual field to just go on and play for fun anytime of the week. In addition, the practice field isn't even a field, it's just extra space outside the gate of the football field. Joining the school team and just going somewhere and playing are completely different. I could go to almost any gym and there's a basketball court to mess around, but as far as soccer goes, there's no where to go unless you're on a team and you're having to travel a lot to play other teams.

I fully recommend that you try cricket, it's a very boring sport to watch, but on a hot day with a cool drink nearby, it's a very relaxing and fun game to play
