Forgiveness

Our issues started over a decade ago. He's done a lot of bad things and he's hurt a lot of people including me and our sister. I'm done. I am not going to spend my life waiting for him to grow a conscience. He doesn't have one. He is a sociopath.
That’s sad. Wow. I hope he’s getting professional help? Has he ever been held accountable for his violence in court?

I know it’s a big IF, BUT if he were to change, would you still say you’re at the point of no return? And after justice has been service and he’s rehabilitated?

I agree about what you’re saying though, it’s ONLY acceptable to hide behind a religion IF YOU ARE WILLING TO CHANGE YOUR BEHAVIOUR.

There's no effective treatment for sociopathy. One of his ex girlfriends urged him to seek mental help and he broke up with her over it.

I have had this discussion with my mother. I told her that if he were to announce his wrongs before the entire family, confess, and apologize to me and his sister that I would consider it. My mother replied, "you know he won't do that."

And after justice has been service and he’s rehabilitated?

I wish someone would hold him accountable. No one ever does. And because he never confesses his wrongs or apologizes, I don't think he's mentally capable of it.

He's what Christians would call "a wolf in sheep's clothing", I have been hoping that this good guy act that he peddles to his fellow theists will fall apart some day and people will see him for the monster he really is.
