That’s the thing, I’m a “good” person in my day-to-day life. I think the fact that I could be someone totally anonymous online brought out the darker side of my psyche. Everyone has a dark side to them and the internet is a great way to let it loose without any repercussions. That’s where all those brave internet trolls come from. I was young and dumb.

I know when people know they’re anonymous their dark side can take over. I suppose it’s therapeutic in a way.

It was definitely attention seeking. It probably had to do with the way I was raised and how I was treated at the time. Oh well, what’s done is done. I can only move forward from here.

I always try to keep my dark side in check and remain civil, but I don't hesitate to put everyone in their place either if need be. I don't dish the proverbial shit out, but I also don't take it from anyone.

Ah well, my actions in the past were also very doubtful at times. I think we’re all guilty of doing things that were not so bright and honest to have some spotlight time. I always wanted to be the most popular one around on forums and got to know many amazing people like Sarah, Kintesh, Ambiance, etc. And at the same time pissed them off many times. 😅

I know what you mean, I had the same mentality.. Unfortunately being an ass got me the most attention, even if it wasn’t “good” attention. I guess it’s like being famous in day-to-day life. A lot of famous celebrities are famous for the wrong reasons.

I’m working on it, but I’m not too fond of confrontation. There have been moments where I should have stepped up and didn’t. I regret those times in my life. I guess I chickened out.

I prefer to avoid confrontation too, but I've learned that sometimes the only way to fight fire is with another fire, since splashing water on it only shows the fire starter that they can do whatever they want without any consequences, so they keep restarting it until they run out of proverbial fuel or you outburn them.

I know what you mean, it’s just easier said than done. At least for me it is. Online or through text is one thing, but in person I tend to freeze up. I guess it was never serious enough, but I’ve come to be a good talker since I don’t like getting physical. I’ve never been in a fight, but I’ve talked my way out of a few of them..

In verbal, eye to eye communication, the most important thing to do is not to allow yourself to be intimidated by your opponent's aggressive posture, hand waving and yelling. Humans are basically monkeys, and monkeys assert their dominance by acting aggressively. They even flip other monkeys off via the middle finger hand gesture.

If someone is hellbent on beating you up, they'll do it anyway, regardless of what you say to them.

Putin already knows he fucked up. He’s just too far too gone by now and won’t call it off for risk of being seen as a loser. (Don’t tell him, but the world and his own people already see him as that.)
