Money, exactly. 
Big bag that had a twin (or king? For couples bed) blanket and day cover with matching pillows.
A bag of dog crap on the side of the road. Seriously, I haven't found anything valuable.
All sorts of stuff.
Just last week I found a Street Hockey Stick laying in the middle of the road downtown.
It was in decent shape, so I brought it home.

i've found some cash a few times over the years, but the best ground score ever was a big fat sack of golden thai bud that was laying on the ground after me and my two friends had been sniveling for hours about being broke and out of weed.
