The federal government was never designed by our founders to be this powerful over the states and the people. Yet we have our own shale deposits that we are not exploiting mainly because the Government and energy companies fear protests from the nimby's and the left wing rent-a-mob.

I am an environmentalist, and since fracking is "fucking the earth," I am completely against it. It's a shame that some think this is a good idea because it's effects on the earth are showing all over the country and world. Anyone can argue the proof and scientific validity, I'm just saying it as I know it, its fucking the earth....

No body is forcing anything. It is the most efficient and safe means of powering the world. Other technology is advancing just fine and is being put to use when the people find it is useful and cheap enough to have. But that alternative power except for nuclear energy in our homes is nowhere near ready to power everything we do on this planet.

It is nothing like currency. Anyways if your wise enough to save gold and silver the standard currency is not forced upon you.

I am an environmentalist, and since fracking is "fucking the earth," I am completely against it. It's a shame that some think this is a good idea because it's effects on the earth are showing all over the country and world. I keep hearing that claim but it keeps being nonsense and proved otherwise at least in this country. Not to say accidents do not happen. But the idea it is some environmental catastrophe of pollution and may cause the next big earth quake is nuts. I mean building a home and planting a tree is also fucking the earth.

I say again if you do not like those forms of energy make sure your home is completely running on solar or wind. And make sure you have a car that is completely electric and that you are not getting that power to charge the car from a coal powered plant. Make sure the water you drink and bathe in is not being cleaned and treated from a plant that uses coal for energy. And finally make sure you are shopping at no place that does the same. If it has those big solar panels on top of the business you are good to go. So stop using those resources right now, that keep me and my family clean and healthy and helps make the money I make for all those conveniences.

I support it because, (1)it helps provide America with lots of relatively inexpensive energy, (2)it helps provide both jobs and tax revenues to states and localities and (3)it helps America wean ourselves off of oil from parts of the world that aren't so friendly towards the U.S. - namely the Persian Gulf, Venezuela and so forth.

--In some areas, they've done a good job at keeping the air and water clean for future generations...in other areas, not so much.

--Only if you believe we need to be completely dependent on solar and wind power.

Ireland imports all of it gas and oil despite massive reserves of both being found within our country. It sits there while the fracking and drilling debate rages on, meanwhile in Ukraine where the Russian gas pipes pass through...
