Free domains a bad thing?

You obviously haven't been to any serious web-master forums, everyone says you need a domain before you start, people don't trust or want to deal with sites that can't even get a paid domain for their site. You NEED a domain if you want to look professional.

Who says? Since when has it been a requirement? You can be pro with out a domain. Anybody that absolutely thinks it is probably close minded and won't accept anything else.
