Can you be friends with someone if they have very different political views from you?

Absolutely! I have friends that are the complete opposite of me politically, friends that actively oppose trans people, and while I don't agree with their views on things, I won't abandon a friend because of a political viewpoint. They don't like my transitioning, but they tolerate me

Yes, I have friends & family who are on a different 'track'; I can't do everyone's thinking for them. They don't try to shove their ideas down my throat not do I insist that they think like I do.

I speak just like this in real life whenever I want to so I don’t have any friends on the other political side, they just get to angry with me.


But with my customers I have plenty of people I do work for on the other political side. I have a US Congressman’s home I go to that made a very famous speech once saying republicans want all sick people to die on the floor. I don’t agree with him on a single issue but I’m more than happy to take his money.


Now my wife has a few and for her I hold my tongue if we visit there home. I just wear a political shirt or hat with nra on it or something she never catches what I’m doing 😂
