The average cost per gallon for regular gas/petrol here is $3.09. Not bad as I've heard in some states it's almost $4 per gallon.

Where I live it cost about $3-4 a gallon but in many places it actually is around $4 and sometimes higher. I've seen it even be close to five bucks a gallon. I live in North Carolina. South Carolina sells it far cheaper and many people travel across the state line near where I live just to tank up on gas because it's cheaper. I can't remember but I think it's a bit over 2 1/2 bucks or so.
 
Mine actually came down to $2.89 per gallon for regular.
