Do you prefer full screen forum skins.. (as in, the width of the forum stretches from one end of your monitor to the other)

Or do you prefer fixed width skins.. (as in, its set to a certain amount like 800px and does not change no matter what the persons monitor size is)

It didnt matter to me before. I recently got a new monitor, which is a big wide screen one. The skins that are full screen seem to stretch out forever.. Its not very attractive. I prefer fixed width.

Fixed width definitely. Just cater for maybe 800 x 600 screens and, it won't look too bad on a widescreen either. Better yet, have both a fluid and a fixed option. I've never liked skins that stretch though, it disrupts my reading. I get used to reading text at that width, suddenly it changes and it's just all very confusing.

Don't you mean 'Fluid' not 'Full'?

Anyway, I have a 1280 x 900 resolution and so fixed skins at 800 x 600 just look pathetic on my screen. It utimately depends upon the forum, as I prefer some fixed ans some fluid.

I think Fluid is the proper term for it. I never knew what that meant till just now. XD

Seeing as I had no clue what the difference was, I never had a preference for one over the other.

My one is fixed. I think themes look better when they're on the center and a background is on the sides.

I used a computer that had a small monitor this morning.. I had to switch to the vb default skin (because its fluid and will fit to any screen size).. Good thing we have that option.

(underground skin does it too)

The fact that I have a 22 inch widescreen at home, fixed have to be used.. Full width'ed ones are just to spread out for that amount of space.

Fixed is easier to look at, because it's all right there. Plus, Off Topix is sexy fixed.

I like forums that are fluid because they will fit all member monitor's however if done right a fixed skin can look just as good
