A lot of side scrolling beat them up or fighting games from like SNES to PS1. I lacked internet (this was the 90s) and proper magazines to inform me of better games of my time and money. So much wasted gaming time.
There are a few but my worst purchase has to be Truck Driver. The game was meant to be an ETS like game on console but it was quite poor. The community gave up on that game pretty quickly. I bought it digital as well so I couldn't manage to get a refund 
What happened to that truck driver game LOL REmeber you were hyped up about that game. Made a forum, advertisement then made dar amount of posts about the game, then it just went dead and then the game came around and it's like Ohhhh crap. What A Crap Game

Let's not talk about that shite game. It was dreadful but mainly because the devs realised it was shit and gave up on it. I would still complain if it was free because it was just awful. I'm grateful for GeForce Now because I can still play ETS and ATS.
They haven't completely given up on it, to be fair. There are still some updates. They recently updated the AI and brought in some shitty skins for the truck.IN away glad that they left and ended it. They lost it and they wasted the money GG for them right
It won't be long before they give up though. There's another truck sim game coming to console which looks a lot better. Not as good as ETS but still decent
I don't think I've ever regretted buying a game. Not that I can remember anyway. I guess I've been lucky that way.
