Geez, that's expensive!

I read there are things first-time buyers can be doing to help make the jump onto the property ladder easier, like saving cash into a Lifetime ISA (LISA). If you’re aged 18-39, it could help you save towards your first home.

Have you ever heard of this?
Yeah, so I have a Help to Buy ISA. I'm allowed to put around £200 into it every month and when I buy my first home, the government will give me back 25%. The UK Government has a few other schemes to help out as well but it's still not easy.

I paid $19 for a movie ticket and a small popcorn, it was a steal technically because she didn't charge me a ticket for my toddler lol

Printer Ink is incredibly expensive too. My dad has a printer and need just a black ink refill. The cheapest he could find was almost $30 for that one cartridge.

We usually buy the cartridges in bulk so we always have them on hand. I don't remember how much we paid but I agree printer ink is expensive.

Cell phone prices are out of control. I remember balking over paying $30 for a landline cordless phone 30 years ago LOL I refuse to pay $1,000 for a phone that needs to be replaced every few years.

What kind of phone do you have? The Federal Government whose jurisdiction my job falls under gave us all TracFone Smartphones. I was surprised at how good the service is on these phones. I might just purchase one for my own use as it's cheaper than the phone & plan I have now.

I have a Google pixel phone. It's better than my old Samsung SIII that I had where the battery only lasted until noon each day.

How long does the battery last on this one?

At least a full day. I charge it at night but I still have about 30% left at the end of the day so I could go another half a day realistically if I needed to.
