First question, do you get them or not...? Like I mentioned: men from other cultures/ethnicities tell me: "Oh you're Asian, you're so pretty...and hot..."... that's a stereotype.
Generalization: "All Asian girls are beautiful, shy... and virgins..." I mean, really?

And do you like hearing them or not from other people?

Stereotypes and generalizations are usually born from the personal experiences of the person. They can be based off of first person experiences or experiences of those who shared them with you. I notice that we all have a habit of suggesting that a common occurrence that happens with a certain group of people often automatically means they all are the same even if it is oftentimes not the case.

If we were able to know every person who belonged to a group fully then we know just how foolish our generalizations and stereotypes are but seeing as we can't is why things are as they are.

I don't like them. And I make an effort not to use them.

Just as I didn't approve of the ones you used when talking about "the West".

Well, they are factual observations of something, no...?

Not really you are referring to a mans preference. Every man is different, doesn't matter what race they are.

No. Most were exactly what we're talking about in this thread- Stereotypes. Generalizations. And subjective interpretations of facts. Usually all of which were unsubstantiated with credible outside references.

But as they were ones with which you happened to agree, you stated them as gospel.

Such as, if I when I would post something like this, you would dismiss it as Western propaganda to make China look bad.

28 December 2013

More than 500 municipal lawmakers in one Chinese province have stood down following an electoral fraud scandal, according to state media.

The 512 officials resigned after accepting bribes from 56 members of the provincial assembly to elect them to their posts, Xinhua news agency said.

The 56 disgraced lawmakers for central Hunan Province were also dismissed.

But then I would add something like this from a Chinese source:

2013-12-28 18:50:12

CHANGSHA, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- The local legislature in central China's Hunan Province has dismissed 56 provincial lawmakers for electoral fraud.

The legislative bodies at county-level in the province's Hengyang City on Saturday accepted resignations of 512 municipal lawmakers who took bribes from the 56.

Preliminary investigation shows the 56 elected deputies to the provincial people's congress offered bribes to 518 lawmakers in Hengyang municipal people's congress and another 68 staff, with the total amount of money involved exceeding 110 million yuan (about 18.14 million U.S. dollars), according to a statement issued by the Hunan provincial legislature on Saturday.

And wait for a response.

Nothing to do with generalizations, or stereotypes, that is propaganda.
Generalization=all individuals in a group will behave like this if belonging to a group.

Stereotype: you belong to a certain group, you're X and X and you'd behave like a typical X.

For example, a generalization would be: a Westerner saying Asian girls: All Asian females are usually or generally shy and timid because he experienced shyness from an Asian female.

A stereotype would be: a Westerner never meeting an Asian girl and saying: Oh girl, you're so X because you're Asian!
