No, my complaints there go back to the post-Cold War "peace dividend" where Germany cut its' defense and military spending to the literal bone....

Its' an example of a country that cut its' military way too much and is now paying for that folly. Same thing here.

Even if they had a powerful military they would do squat to make them continue shipping oil. If they have coal they should use it.

Maybe they did. They get most of their energy from Russia and they don't want to rely on them anymore because Ukraine. This is probably just a temporary solution.
