Giving Blood

Do you/would you donate blood?

Sure; however, I'm not old enough. Once I'm old enough, I'll give blood if my doctor is fine with it. Like my mom, she can not give blood because she is anemic, but my dad can give blood. We'll see.

Ive never given blood, not saying I wouldnt, I just havent done that yet.

I have O postive which is valuable because it can go into anyones body and they wont reject it (from my understanding).

Exactly. You should consider it, because your type of blood is needed & could save a life.

I would, but I'm not old enough. Hopefully I gain some weight, because you have to be 50kg at least if you're 16 - 17 years old, I'm 15 now and not very close to that weight. I wonder if you can give blood if you have a mental disorder? I can gain weight and I can get old but I can't get rid of bipolar. =[

I've given blood before, but since I'm on 6 medications + OTCs I've not been doing it because of the risk of the recipient being allergic to a medication I'm on that's in my blood that they would get.
