Giving people a hard time?

Do you give people a hard time? Such as questioning little things they do or making something small into a big deal?



Do people do it to you? Do you do it to other people?

Is it in a joking way or to be mean?



Example of one person I know who does this:

(he is my supervisor but he tells me to call him a co-worker instead.. weird.

) My co-worker is always hounding me for every little thing I do.. From how fast or slow I walk to words I use to describe something to going in a room and not holding the door open for him or propping it open somehow.. Etc.. Just any little thing.

He will do it for a while until I get frustrated with him and then he will laugh and say he is only joking around. I suppose its alright but it gets old after a while.

If someone is being really stupid, I will give him or most of the time her a hard time until (he)/she sees (his)/her mistake. Generally I don't do it though, only if something is too stupid to ignore.

In the profession I'm in, one little mistake can cost a person their life. If their mistake could have been a costly one, then yes I give them a hard time. I do not do it in a joking manner as there is nothing funny about it.
