Goa trance is a form of electronic music that originates from India that has been around since the late 80s but became more popular during the 90s. It is characterised with energetic beats, pulsing melodies and rhythms, being around 130-150bpm on average and generally between 8 and 12 minutes long. Most goa trance songs have references to do with extraterrestrial life, dreams, science, time travel, spirituality and drugs. I'm going to provide examples of this genre:
There is also an offshoot of this genre known as psytrance, that I posted a thread about two years ago. That's a more faster and mind-blowing version of it.
