My elementary school was super close, 5 minute car ride and walked when the weather was good.
Middle school was a hellish 30ish minute school bus ride.

Yes, a used car. They gave one to my older siblings as well. My dad is a self-taught mechanic so always got good deals on vehicles.
Thats cool. Its always handy to have a mechanic in your life. Wish I did.
