Google Books is a service from

Google Inc. that searches the full text of books that Google has scanned.

Have you used this service? Do you find it useful?

Never heard of it but now that I have, I'm going to check this out!

One thing I like is that you can find full copies of things like the Erasmus book, without trudging down to the city library, which wouldn't have it, or to the University library, which would, but would also give you a ration of sheitz for wanting to use the stacks, which as a citizen you are entitled to do, but they still feel like it is theirs.

I like Google books and have used it several times.

For example, some of the books are not available in my library either because the library is small and does not have them or that the book has already been checked out.

Using Google books I am able to preview entire chapters for free. There is also a nice rating feature we other readers can rate and review the book. My only minor qualm with Google books is that if you are previewing for free they omit a lot of pages.

On Android, you have access to lots of the same content. I've bought one book, but undecided whether reading a book on my phone is for me. It makes the bus rides go faster though.
