I use Google Earth a lot for research for various topics, including local information in cities I don't visit very often.
So when "pro" was offered for free, I downloaded it and installed it.
That was a waste of time.
"Pro" is very little different than what is available on Google Maps. There are a few slick features, that I will probable never use, including "flying" options as well as the "annoying as hell until you turn it off" Automatic Tilt On Zoom, and it turns out to be a memory hog as well.
Also, some of the ground images are over FIVE YEARS OLD, and are of disappointing quality.
I would not recommend the time and effort to download it and then sign up to get the "key".
It isn't any more advanced or useful than the web based version.
