Everyone in America has probably seen the Geico lizard on TV... Their commercials come on all the time.
Either that or the stack of money with eye balls....
Or the stupid caveman...
Anyway, I signed up with them for my car insurance. They were really cheap. I am now paying $56 a month for the SAME coverage I had with my old insurance company and that one was over $100 a month. My old insurance was not there for me when I was in a car accident. They kept giving the the run-around and I even threatened to sue them but they still did not give me the money I was entitled to... Someone told me they got in an accident (they have geico) and they got a check in the mail like 2 weeks later.
.
Ive always gone through a insurance broker... A broker is basically a middle man who searches hundreds of insurances all at once, then gives you a selection of companies to choose from. They usually charge a broker fee and some other fee's. Last time I signed up with a new insurance company, I paid almost $300 to get it started. With Geico, I just paid my monthly rate and thats it, no other fee's to get started. So I am pretty satisfied with them (only being a customer for less than a day), so lets see how they are in the future....
Now the DMV can give me my stupid registration sticker for my license plate... They said they wont give it to me until I get insurance again. They were holding my sticker hostage.
