We have two of them.  Mostly white, with some brown smudges on their noses, and a bit of brown on their backs.  So they are not true albino, but do have the beady red eyes.  They are littermates, sisters, born in September of 2013.  We got them from the shelter in June of this year.  They are pretty smart, will respond to their names or simple commands, when they are of a mind, and if there is a reward involved.  Roxy is a bit larger than Miss Daisy, and the alpha rat.  She will steal food, initiate scuffles and the like.  BUT, she also seems protective of her sister.  They always sleep curled up together, with Roxy always on top, as if she is sheltering Daisy.  In the two pictures in am sharing, Roxy is the one drinking in one, with Daisy in the house.  In the picture of them both in the house, Roxy is on top.

Aww, they are so cute.

Bless you for giving them a 'forever' loving home!

Yes, they are pretty cool, once you get past the eww factor.  Their fur is very soft.  I have had critters for several years now, because I cannot have cats, allergies and all.  My first critter was a guinea pig, then I got a chinchilla, now the rats.
There is not a lot of smell to them, but they do tend to mark their territory.  I use fleece to line their cage now, and have to change it every few days.
I think all creatures need forever homes.

Very cute! I have had several pet rats growing up. They are sweet, intelligent and amazing little creatures.

Not sure why the bad reputation of wild rats (or rats that are pests) has attached itself to pet rats for lots of people. I remember new people always freaking out over my pet rats at first, but warming up after they realized how cool they actually were.
