June 3rd is my last day of high school. I'm really excited and terrified at the same time. This Summer, I'm going to be working as a janitor for Ford (starting at $12.25/hr

). Later in the Fall, I'm going to be moving up north to Kalkaska/Traverse, Michigan with at least three friends. I'm fairly optimistic about this for the most part.

Is anyone else graduating this year and what are your plans? If not, how many of you have graduated high school and what did you do afterwards?

Congrats! I'm really happy for you, I'm glad you have a plan after highschool..

I graduated about a year ago, I took a year off since I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life and life was just too stressful then anyways. Though this September I am going to go to College for Social Work.

Other than that I worked full time since I got out of Highschool, I still live with my parents though I pay rent.

Good stuff. :3 I think I'll be taking a year off since I'll be pretty poor (and technically homeless) for a while. After that, I think I'm going to major in Physics.

Graduated 2 years ago. I travelled in summer vacation and then started Japanese Studies in university, but I switched majors to Sociology fairly early.

Congrats.

I graduated in 2002.

Thanks. That's the year I met my oldest friend (that I'm still friends with, at least).

Oh wow sorry to hear that you'll probably be homeless =( I'm sure you'll be able to find a job to keep you going though.. I have faith in you =)

Since high school I've been living the blue collar life & had a kid (who is 7 and a half now).. <--- to make a long story short.

Haha, thanks. :3 But I'm not ACTUALLY going to be homeless. At first we'll be living in my friend's parent's cabin for free (except for utilities), but this only lasts for a short time, hopefully we can get new jobs by then. After that, we'll probably look for a 2 bedroom apartment in Traverse City and divide the rent by four.

Thanks. Blue collar means not rich but not super poor. Average job, average income, average boring life...... But I like it

It seems like everyone is living that lifestyle either that or they're super super rich or poor as hell...

Congrats on Graduating soon

I left school last year, and am now doing a Degree in Forensic Chemistry

Sounds like you have a good plan worked, out and I hope you the best of luck with it

I also graduated in 2010 like Dragon Master. I've only completed a year of college life, but life outside H.S is not as terrifying as it may seem. For me I started to miss many of the friends I grew to know, especially since I went to many different schools throughout my life and had many friends. Now I rarely see any of them.

As for your plan is good and sounds like a good start. It's good to start small and introduce yourself to the world.

Thanks, it's actually reassuring to hear others say things like this.

As for me, I don't finish high school until next year, but time's certainly flied from when I started it.

Word. I graduated High School back in 06. I never did go to College. And I pretty much sat around doing nothing for the first few weeks after Graduation. Then, I started my first foray into working for a store. Which by that point, was my second job since I had gotten one after my Sophomore year. Which I did computer related stuff on that job. Sometimes, I regret not doing more while in High School.
