For those who grew up poor, what did you consider a luxury?

I didn't really grow up poor to the point that we didn't have things, but we sure as hell weren't rich or even middle class. We got a lot of hand-me-downs, so that's what I considered a luxury. One of my aunts was married to a guy who made a lot of money, and she worked on the side occasionally, and she bought these lavish dresses for her daughter, which she would pass down to me being the only girl out of three kids. So those were luxury!

I was born really little below middle-class that a luxury item for me was definitely something that I laugh on now when I possess. There are many so I can't really specify any.
