To the people living somewhere outside of the USA...

What "American food" do you find disgusting?

:green:

I live here and think there are plenty of "American Foods" that I'd put under that umbrella.

Such as this bellringer from a few years ago:

I read something about:

Fried Pickles with Chocolate sauce??? :scared2:

I've never heard of that. Sounds like something a pregnant woman would crave. :P

Something we should know Miss Lady?

@Doc: No way. Had this when I lived in Mississippi. :P

Fried pickles are great. I can't imagine eating them with chocolate sauce though. Those two flavors don't belong together in my opinion. :P

Back when I worked for a caterer I developed ways to deep fry damned near anything as a gimmick to encourage 'guests' to spend more at the bar.

Some of those that I remember included:

Corn on the Cob

Brussels Sprouts

Hot Dogs

several kinds of cheese

various candy bars

and Cake (cut into about 2 inch cubes, battered and quick fried)

They ate it up, and filled up our tip jar to boot.

But I don't remember ever deep frying a pickle. Green tomatoes, yes, but pickles?

of course, when we were done, the deep frier had to be totally stripped down and cleaned and the oil, which could ordinarily be filtered and reused was done for.

I heard most of the world doesn't eat Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches or they just think its a weird combo.

I love em!
