Sam (KAREN GILLAN) was only 12 years old when her mother Scarlet (LENA HEADEY), an elite assassin, was forced to abandon her. Sam was raised by The Firm, the ruthless crime syndicate her mother worked for. Now, 15 years later, Sam has followed in her mother’s footsteps and grown into a fierce hit-woman. But when a high-risk job goes wrong, Sam must choose between serving The Firm and protecting the life of an innocent 8-year-old girl - Emily (CHLOE COLEMAN). With a target on her back, Sam has only one chance to survive: Reunite with her mother and her lethal associates, The Librarians (MICHELLE YEOH, ANGELA BASSETT and CARLA GUGINO). These three generations of women must now learn to trust each other, stand up to The Firm and their army of henchmen, and raise hell against those who could take everything from them.

With a cast like that, I was expecting... better.

This looks like a movie you watch four years after it came out because you need something like it and saw everything else. It reminds me of RED (2010), but with the quality dropped down to Terminal (2018).

John Wick has really spread his wings. First, he secretly trains Saul Goodman to be just like him, and now Ruby Roundhouse.

I love it.

No. I think I'm going to take a pass on this movie. I can tell I already don't like it.

It was a 'meh' - one key tip, don't go into it with any expectations of amazing dialogue or plot development. It is just a simple action movie w/ some semblance of campy comedy cooked in. It plays on John Wick & Kill Bill, but is different enough to be enjoyable.

I do have to say, this is a prime example that you can't take a giant cast of seasoned stars, throw a generic script at them, and expect a blockbuster. This needed a lot of work and probably the vision of a different director if it was to be very successful.

Karen Gillan was in Doctor Who. It's in my Netflix Queue & I figured I may catch it one of these days. But with the majority being bad reviews, I may just skip it.

I was planning to watch this, mostly because of the cast, but.... I haven't heard anyone with a good thing to say about it, so maybe it's best skipped.

Karen Gillan is SO SEXY, but she does not fit in every single film that she does.
