I just hate hacks and cheats .. I always play fair with no cheats then you get these players who always manage to kill you with one shot with a basic hand gun from impossible distances and have multiple kills with no deaths ...
What is the point of playing if you need to use cheats? There is no skill in cheating!

That is my rant after a very frustrating game!

I used to use Gameshark for some games, but never cheats against other people. I find that to be pointless and rather rude. You either play the game and learn the skills or don't at all.

I'm also one who prefers to play games fair-wise. But in the case of unlicensed games, like those from Waixing, Shenzhen Nanjing and Sachen? Savestates, patience and that's it.

Cheats are a dirty way to play but I've used them when I couldn't progress in the game no matter what I did.

When the story is the game's strength and I've already been through one playthrough I often cheat to make the second one go quicker. Nothing special about it, it's good they're there.

Cheating in an online game is totally different though. Those people should be banned from the game.

The only game I use cheats for now is SimCity/The Sims and stuff like that. I don't do it for any other game and certainly not against other players.

That sucks. If you paid good money for the game, you should be able to play it fairly.

Of course, many shooter games have ppl who use aimbots (software that helps you aim or even automatically shoot at the target).

Most recently I've seen people in guild wars 2 kill me while staying invisible the whole time so I could do nothing against them and teleporting all around the map instantly.

I use a Game Genie program that I have installed on my PC to mod my PS3 save files so I can cheat on most of my PS3 games.

If its off line and you're cheating on a video game, you're not hurting any one.

Cheating Online  is a different story though.  But people who are against Online cheating, are likely to be against off line cheating as well even if the person playing that game has nothing to do with them. Some people are just that anal about it.

As far as cheating goes. I've heard that the Hyperkin company (who makes cheat programs like the Game Genie) has stated that the PS4 is more susceptible to being hacked than the PS3 was by players so that they can cheat or mod their games.
