It took me a year to come to terms that I no longer had any kind of relationship with my ex wife after the divorce. It didn't hit until the divorce was finalized. It was very depressing because she just fell into drugs & moved away. She basically disappeared out of our lives. My kids rarely ever see her.

That hard work and dedication alone is not enough. Luck plays a huge role than people think it does. Being at the right place at the right time opens more doors than you banging with all your might sometimes.

I have to come to terms with my father's siblings. They are just giving me headaches and I do not want to be connected with them for being evil to us.

If you can manage to live without them I advise that you move on. I have done that with regard to many of my relatives.
