A harrowing social experiment has shown that 85 per cent of people ignored the cries of a girl getting raped in a car.
Not Quite So Normal TV conducted the experiment in Sweden to highlight the importance of reporting such crime around the world.
The duo parked a suspicious-looking car in a number of public places at night.
One window was blacked out with a bin-liner and sickening audio was played of a man hitting a screaming woman. One of the men was hidden inside the car.
‘Help!’ she cries, as a man’s voice can be heard saying: ‘Shut up!’
The men claimed 85 percent of people who walked by and acknowledged something was not right, ignored it anyway.
But the second half of the video shows the 15 per cent who sprung into action.
Many tapped on the car window and confronted the man, ordering him to step out of the vehicle before they called the police.
And a small minority even got physical – for which they were praised.
Question: What would you have done?
