Who here enjoys the Harry Potter books?

Myself, I'm a long-time fan of the franchise: I read the first one in 2001 (in preparation for the film), and immediately fell in love with it. I've only read each one once, though... perhaps I should read them again some time, because I'd probably pick up on a load of things that I missed the first time around!

I don't agree with her views, As a writer, she's very talented though.

Yeah, nor do I. But I have no trouble separating the art from the artist :) .
100%
It’s the same as one of my favourite band vocalist doesn’t respect woman

I don’t respect his actions but there’s no denying his got a good voice.

I have no respect for her, but I do respect the works.

Agreed, it's terrible that we still live in times when we can't just live and let live.
it's better than how it used to be but unfortunately, the older generations are still stubborn and stick to their outdated opinions.

Yeah, it is a shame :( .

And I should clarify my stance from before: if she ever starts putting any transphobic stuff into any future Harry Potter books or films, then I won't buy those books or see those films. "Separating the art from the artist" goes both ways.

I’m bisexual so I’m definitely pro LGBTQ+ while she’s allowed her ‘opinion’ and thought I do think it’s wrong that she’s forcing those opinions on to others by putting it in to her work.

Goblet. But I’m so tired of reading it now because I’ve read it so many times! Deathly hallows second
