spending money you dont have to buy crap no one wants for people you dont really want to give to to get crap you dont want in return

I just love how everybody goes around putting up totem trees to Apollo, and hanging wreaths to their deceased ancestors.
Mistletoe is a little different, but hanging a more or less poisonous parasitic plant in your house that is associated with the betrayal and death of a pagan god, Balder (who has more than a little in common with Apollo) may not be a good idea.
And, of course, there are the icons of the patron saint of Pawn Brokers, Merchants, and Broadcasters, everywhere.
But I do have to wonder what Snow and Winter have to do with the date 25 December because for about two thirds of the planet, to see such would indicate another "Little Ice Age" is under way.
Now as to what any of this has to do with the Birth of Christ is open to debate.
And equally debatable is what any of it has to do with the original holiday on that date: The Feast of Saturn.

There are too many kids who want want want! Little kids with iphones, ipods, laptops etc. It's stupid. I grew up on not being able to have a cellphone until I was 16 and being supervised on the internet till that age too.
Kids these days aren't supervised at all on any tech device. The parents don't care what the kids do as they're too busy working to get money for the brats.

All this commercial pish. All the money, lights, hype. NO! Prepare the yule log, Make a fire on 21st, exchange a gift with my parents, have a nice meal, I will do a solitary ritual, honor the goddess - Skathi. That's all you need, none of this Christmas starts on the 1st of December when we try and electrocute the neighbourhood BULL!
