Well I'm a bit ticked right now. Had a math exam in college and couldn't answer the bonus questions well. Because these questions happened to be two unfinished questions on my worksheet/notes. Even though I did good on the rest of the test, I'm ticked that I wasn't able to get the bonus questions, especially since they could've bumped up my grade, in the event that I got a lot wrong.

Instead of finishing the notes/worksheet(For two seperate weeks, when it got unexpectantly late, the teacher told us we could do the questions/examples that we didn't go over as a optional bonus to go along with our homework.)I did my homework and forgot about the bonus stuff. The worst part was that those two questions were on the exam.

And what do I do instead of attempting those two questions in the notes? I worked on my novel.

For a long while, I've been working on the novel(I get my homework done too.) and breathing plently of life into it. But after this disappointment, I've felt like deleting my entire novel draft off of my portable hard drive and computers. Crushing my future dreams, destorying an attempt at expressing my creativity, etc.

In fact, everything of it needs to die.

The main protagonist doesn't deserve to live.

The other characters don't dserve to live

The villain doesn't deserve to live

Every single word, edit, revision, emotion and what have you is a waste of time.

My creativity needs to die. All writing must be professional and utterly emotionless. Schoolwork comes before everything. It comes before eating, drinking and other necessities.(sans breathing.)

Deleting it would prove nothing.

But you do have to make room in your life for that curse we call reality while you also do your art.

And sometimes, they are totally at odds, incompatible, and cannot be forced to play nice together no matter what.

And if 'all writing is emotionless', then it probably isn't worth reading.

By all writing is emotionless, I referring to the stuff I have to write for school.

Deleting your novel and crushing your dreams cause of Math related issues is a bit... Well... A very stupid move to make.

I'm pretty sure you'd regret deleting it all.

Bonus points are hardly worth throwing away your dreams for.

Even writing for an assignment has to be worth reading for those forced to read it.
I tend to resort to a healthy bit of cynicism when I'm forced to write something. Makes it a lot more fun.
