Have you ever got the feeling you've joined too many forums?

I used to get that feeling all the time, but now I really don't care on how many I've joined since I forget I'm a member on most of them.

Of the, let me count here a second.... Six, I think, total, that I've joined, this is the only one I am still active on.

Four of the others have gone to that great database in the sky.

And the other one that is still around is worthless now unless you are a member of their clique.

I feel the act of joining a forum is not making a commitment to that forum, so I don't feel bad for not returning if I forget about the forum.

That's about how I see it as well. I usually try to write a few posts and an introduction to get a feel for whether or not I want to stick around. If it seems like a great community, I'll remain active. If not, it's no harm done to the forum's owner.

Time was when I was active on 4-6 forums, not all of which are around anymore. I've been cutting back quite steadily. Don't seem to have the time anymore.

Joining a forum doesn't mean much to me. It takes all but 60 seconds or so to create the account and to activate it.

That said, I still have cut back quite a bit.

I make no promises as to my activity when I join. So no, I do not feel like this.

I have been on three different forums. Well, one I don't go to anymore, and that's SMW Central.
