I worked on this all night (literally) and now I want some waffles. But, before I gorge myself on junk, I figured I'd share my creation with everyone. To give you an idea of where I was going with the image (which will eventually be incorporated into the new banner):

The engineering drawings, equations, and theoretical solutions/explainations (text) represents the advanced knowledge of humanity in the past. The blood (violence) of humanity followed the written scripture, has stained the parchment and erased part of history's knowledge. Pretty much it's a representation of how humanity chose violence over pursuing the larger goal of furthering the respective races. The shadowed script represents this was all in the past - the fact the blood stain has dried also backs this up. As for the light, it's a representation of today's society finding another clue to their past and rediscovering what was one lost. I may not be wording this perfect due to sever sleep deprivation, but you get the idea. Let me know what you think! Thanks
