Open enrollment kicked off just after midnight Saturday morning on the federal HealthCare.gov, and within 12 hours the site stopped letting some people log into their new accounts.

The site launched amid much anticipation after last year's botched rollout and enrollment seemed to be going smoothly. Department of Health and Human Services reported more than 23,000 people had submitted applications in the first eight hours.

Will Chapman, a broker and owner of the Health Insurance Store of Louisiana in Baton Rouge, says none of the 10 agents could log into accounts until about 1 p.m. CT Saturday.

"We'd go in with an e-mail account, can set up an account, verify it and create a password, but when go back to actually log in with that information, it says your password is invalid," says Chapman.

After a lengthy wait on hold for the call center, Chapman says, they were told the problem was systemwide.

It wouldn't be so bad IF it did what they said it would do.

However, you have almost as many Without insurance now as you did before, and you have MORE people who have crappy, and almost useless insurance that they are paying more for.
