Help categorizing things

Hey Off Topix,



I'm making a new multimedia site which will feature various authors (if you want to be an author so you can share you photography, writing, film, etc. on the site, then contact me) and their respective work. I'm going to have a message board to accompany it. Currently the forums are categorized like this:



Site Announcements and Support

>>> Front Desk (Help)



Really Shitty Discussion

The boards are all pretty self explanatory. Critique? What to add, remove, change?

I agree with Nebulous. I would change those to something else. It makes your forum seem like it's too much adult orientated.

I understand that the Internet is always serious business and no one should ever use dirty words, but I think I'm going to leave that there. Keep in mind this isn't a message board like Off Topix. Based off of past experience, this board will be infested with trolls. We aren't the happy Web 2.0 community that most of you guys are probably used to.

Why would you want to do something like that? The thing is to protect the forum FROM trolls, not allow them on! That kind of running a forum does not make sense. Plus, since you're allowing trolls on, you probably won't be allowed to advertise at too many places, especially if it becomes a huge spam fest.

How is that?

I like it, save for the Art board. Art in this situation includes photography, independent film, classic art, modern, etc. I might add some subforums for the sections but that could get too clogged.

Yeah well you have fun with that, I prefer to socialize with people I can have a conversation with, not people who are rude jerks or trolls.

I'm with Nebulous on this one. I'd much rather join a forum that has rules and limitations than a forum that's litterally a free for all.
