What clubs did/do you belong to in High School? Are you still interested in those things?

I was in the Reptile Club in middle school. This lady had snakes and lizards and all sorts of things. We got to go play with them / take care of them for an hour after school. It was fun. I eventually got kicked out because the teacher was getting mad that I was not contributing extra like the others (volunteering to take animals home, buying food for the animals, etc). I'd just show up to kill some time and leave. The others were more dedicated.

I'm in the play club right now. I play a main character from the play The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, which is a Monty Python like parody of one scene from every single play Shakespeare has ever written. 36 i believe

My school only had a football one which I didn't go to

We don't really have clubs in secondary school.

I started a club this year, Open Forum basically just a discussion club, we talk about life and contemporary world issues.

I'm also a member of Knowledge Bowl and National Honors Society.

We also have Red Cross, Key Club (community service), Diversity Committee, Math Team, German/French/Spanish Club, Chess Club, etc.

I belong to a club called Friday Night Live which is a drug and alcohol prevention program.

We have some after school clubs at my primary school which is useful for working parents, but I have to say they are pretty boring and you don't get paid extra to run them.

We have a football club, which is very popular. Otherwise they are mainly colouring clubs because the teacher can mark books whilst the kids colour. Last year one teacher did a Star Wars club, which sounded exciting until you realise he just produced Star Wars pictures for the kids to colour in. Disappointing.

One teacher did a great junk modelling club but eventually gave it up as it was such hard work and she struggled to collect junk. I brought her loads of cereal boxes and tubes, etc but it still wasn't enough.

Another teacher had a dressing up club, which was easy but noisy.

I taught cross-stitch for a while but most kids couldn't stitch even one stitch without help so it got very tiring.

We did not have school club when i went to school

but now all schools seem to have them

my kids went to home work club in their high school at lunch time

which was great meant no home work when they got home
