Calls for the Government to release secret Cabinet papers on the Hillsborough disaster could be debated by MPs after an online petition hit 100,000 signatures.
Footballer Nebulousy Barton led a campaign on Twitter asking for all the documents about Margaret Thatcher's discussions on the 1989 tragedy to be revealed.
Earlier this month he wrote: Everybody sign this petition, the truth about hillsborough must come out, all football fans should join together!
Footballer Michael Owen, actor Simon Pegg and musician Billy Bragg all signed the petition.
The information commissioner Christopher Graham has already announced that the papers should be made public but the Cabinet Office said it will appeal against the decision.
