Do you ever watch this show?

I can't believe people do this to their own homes.

That is definitely a mental disease/condition and I'm not sure there's really a cure for it. My mother got like that maybe in her mid to late 50's; my kids and I would go in occasionally & help her straighten up her place but it would take her two weeks or so to get it worse than before.
I don't need to watch no stinkin' tv program about that!

I always scream at the TV when I watch that show but I'm just as bad as them 🥸

I've seen it a few times, I just don't understand how they let themselves get in that state. I'm messy at times, but it's a controlled chaos, I can't see myself hanging onto things I won't need or plain old trash...get rid of it!

I just don't see how they can't throw out their trash and keep some form of organizing done in the household. The girl in the above video I posted was LITERALLY wallowing in and eating her own shit. I think she was the worst they've had on the show.

Yeah, I can't fathom it, either. If you're anywhere near that point, get help!

I honestly don't think she knew any better. She learned to hoard from her mother. From what I understand she was neglected and abused. If you watch the episode she's really mental and behaves like a child.

Ah, well yeah, that makes sense. A sadly inherited lifestyle of filth and neglect. That's tragic in her case!

I wonder what's the deal with animal hoarding. This guy let his pet rats breed like crazy in the house.

I can sort of understand cats or dogs, but rats?! Eek. I think people see it as them rescuing the animals, keeping them safe, and then they get overwhelmed very quickly and this happens.

These people definitely need some guidance! I'm pretty sure that I would be one of those cat hoarders if not for my husband's strict disapproval; he likes two or three cats okay, but insists that I be sensible about it. If it were all just up to me I'm afraid that I would take in every stray cat that I see.

Right now, instead of playing on the computer I would have to be tending cats.

I find this show to be fascinating, even though it's scripted to high heaven and a little more dramatic than its predecessor: "Hoarders: Buried Alive". I like both shows, but the latter shows less drama and gets to the good part much faster.
