Do you put up holiday themes on your forum?

Do you think if you make your forum all Christmas'ed out that will make people of other religions feel left out?

Is there even a need for such political correctness on forums?

I don't like it to be honest. I think it's a waste of time. It might look good for a couple of weeks, but all the effort isn't worth it.

You dont like anything.

I think they are good idea. However the regular skin should be available for people to switch back to if they dont like it.

I think more of a seasonal theme rather than just a Christmas theme. Then people can make whatever they want of it

I don't mind. Most people who aren't Christians don't mind on forums..least the ones I went to, having a Christmas theme. The Christians don't act offended about a Halloween theme either.

I'd probably go out and make a holiday skin rarely, but for the most part I'd just change the skin I already have a bit to suit the holiday.

I think it should be an option. You should stick to your main theme, but offer a special Christmas theme too. It doesn't have to be anything too amazing; just something to get people (who want to) into the spirit.

Yes, it's a fair bit of work, but I believe it's worth it.

I agree. If you must have a Christmas theme, by all means, go ahead! However, keep in mind that there are some people who don't celebrate Christmas the way that some of us do, so in most cases, you should have an optional theme for them to choose from.

Will probably make a few changes for Christmas to the forum though I won't be getting a dedicated skin.

RE: Holidays Skins on Forums

Holidays are coming up. Im sure there is a Halloween theme out there I could find if I wanted to... and then Christmas...
:|

If you have a forum, are you going to use any seasonal themes?

When I still used to run a board we did have one for Halloween and Christmas.

Don't mind as long as it doesn't have those stupid floating icons all over the page, like falling snowflakes or bats or something.

I usually switch to a normal theme anyway.

It was easier just to put a ghost costume on our mascot instead of going through the whole process of adding a new theme, then installing all of our modifications onto that temporary theme. :P

Looks really good! Sometimes less it better. ;)

Considering I have a general discussion forum I like to put up a few decorations to celebrate the main holidays. At the moment I have put some spider webs and a new logo to celebrate halloween
