How old were you when your parents decided you were old enough to be left home alone while they went out?

My parents left me and my brother home alone when I was about 9 (he was 14) and they left me Home Alone by myself when I was about 11, but not much. Since I was 12 they couldn't care less if I was Home Alone or not.

Ever since my grandfather passed away... When I was about eight or nine. My parents always had to work day and night so I normally didn't see them that much so they trusted that I'd be alright by myself. (Don't remember much from those days actually)

Never really been left home alone, because my brother would always watch us because he's older than us so he was there when my parents weren't.
