Okay, I am seriously one ticked off customer, here. I am with Fantastic Hosting, and I have to tell you, they are anything but fantastic. Loads of downtime, a lot of it which is really uncalled for and pathetic, can't get into my Cpanel when I need it, have to rely on a co-administrator, and as for my forum... forget it. I tried getting on to Chatting Time both through MSN Explorer and Fire Fox, and I can't get on either way. I'm having trouble with other sites that are hosted on the same host as me. Honestly, I'm seriously ready to pack up and move elsewhere, but I don't want to have to install mods all over again. What would you do in my situation?

If the hosts sucks then move. No one is going to put up with a site that has excessive downtime. I sure as hell wouldn't.

On a lighter note, I guess you can say that fantastic Hosting isn't all that fantastic. lol

Well, I think they are still a fairly new host, so to an extent, that would explain all the downtime we've been having, but honestly, if you're going to set up a host, you should at least have your act together before you even think of opening up. Like making sure all the bugs are fixed and stuff like that. Well, anymore downtime and I'll be packing up and moving. The only pain in the neck thing will be reinstalling all the mods all over again.

Well, I know I'll be moving. I still can't get into my Cpanel, which is ticking me off to no extent. It's crazy, and you can bet I will be moving. Heh, maybe I'll make a backup and go back on to a total free host or something. I don't know, yet.

Do you have to pay to use Fantastic Hosting? Or is it a free host?

They do have free plans, and the one I'm using is free. I really just want to wait it out and let it settle down, because I really like this host, to be honest.

I would go with a more well established host. Before using a host, google them and read some reviews.

Well, thankfully, this topic is considered resolved. I am using a friends' server, and so far the most I've had were minor IP problems, which my friend explained to me how to resolve, and I got that to work no problem. Other than that, we have had awesome uptime so far, and the forum is pretty much good to go other than a domain.

Thats your problem. Using unknown hosts and friend's servers. Just asking for downtime.

Actually, believe it or not, we have had really nice uptime. Haven't had any downtime so far. I'm actually pleased with the way things are going. I have had no problems compared to the other host I was using.

How long have you been on this host, less than 24 hours? Most downtime can happen at anytime, just because it hasn't been down in the last day doesn't mean it won't.

IMO you need to stop looking at amateur friend hosts, and look for some quality post-to-host or a paid host, they are your best option.
