Hotels vs Motels

Sometimes people have a preference. I prefer a hotel especially if there's room service.

I was just on vacation recently. I stayed at a couple different places because we were going to different cities and doing different things.

I stayed at a family members house for a couple days. I stayed in a really nice fancy hotel for a night. I stayed in a decent hotel/motel for a night. I stayed in a cheap motel near the airport the last night.

I'd have to say the fancy hotel I stayed in was the best. It was a 20 story building and we were in the 19th floor. Great view. They also had a pool on the roof of the building which was pretty neat.

A while back (Few years ago) me and my partner spent a few nights in a real fancy hotel and they had a mini-bar with drinks and everything and well... it was expensive.

I prefer a Hotel over a motel, we have motels like crazy around here and most of them are so nasty looking on the inside and look nice on the outside...
Hotels are always clean to look at from outside and in.

I feel like a snob saying this, but I prefer hotels. Motels can be okay. I stayed in one last October that was very reasonably priced and well taken care of, but small and had very little else to offer than a bed, TV, and shower/bath.

A lot of the motels / hotels we stayed in on our vacation to Florida were not very clean lol.

My father in law picked those because they were on discount websites and a lot of them had bad reviews.

Hotels, definitely. I've been in both and I can say hotels are way better.

I really enjoy staying in serviced apartments.

If I have a choice... we'd stay in a campground in our small travel trailer.

I don't think I would ever prefer a motel over a hotel
